Band members are drawn from several of the area's most popular bands including Johnny 5 (Johnny 6 for a string of charity shows with Robert Plant as guest vocalist), Starling, The Bullfrogs, The Murmur & Frank Boffs Big Band.

The Supertonics draw influences from Soul / Mod / Two-Tone / Rhythm & Blues and Retro numbers played with an energetic contemporary rock edge. Their material is from artists such as The Specials, Otis Redding, The Jam, Booker T & MG’s, Madness and many others.
