WyreFest Friday 25 September Bewdley Institute
Sons of Beaches
Sons of Beaches are an original rock outfit from Kidderminster.

In mid 2007 drummer Richie Milton and vocalist Carl Wilkes rebuilt the band to gig original material influenced by their peers. Local guitarist Dan Holloway, a seasoned player, and bass player Adam Farley, who had no live experience, joined to form the new four piece.

After some great gigs supporting bands such as Aura, the Who tribute and Rule no1, Sons of Beachs recorded their first EP, a 3 track collection showcasing current material. The title track 'Never be the same again' is still a mainstay of their set and opener 'Who I am' is a great rock crowd pleaser. The EP received a fantastic review from theultimatereviewer.co.uk and Nick Townsend.

Sons of Beaches headlined the Loaded 08 rock festival in aid of The Proton Effect. Soon afterwards they recorded their second EP, 'Plague' which was launched at the Tap House, Kidderminster, in February this year. Featuring the very best of the band so far it includes: Mine o' mine, Can't rain all the time, Sticks n' stones, A plague on both your houses (title track), Don't worry 'bout me, and crowd favourite I.O.U.

Guitarist Mark Hughes replaced Joe Parkes and the five-piece goes from strength to strength. The band has an extensive touring project to promote ‘Plague’, including a recent gig at Liverpool's legendary Cavern Club in Liverpool, and is on the bill at 2009's Glastonbudget Festival.

To fully enjoy Sons of Beaches view them in their natural habitat, the live concert stage!
