  Giving our best

The Proton Effect exists to help in the treatment and care of cancer sufferers in the Wyre Forest District. Our aim is to help by providing financial assistance, funding or support when it is not available or cannot be provided by the national health service or other statutory authorities.

The Proton Effect began informally in 2006 to support the Jackie Jennings Appeal and was registered as a medical, health and sickness charity in August 2007. Contact us if you are a cancer sufferer and think we can help.

Sharing our energies by 'funraising'
We raise funds by putting on events locally and you can help or can get involved in lots of ways, by attending one of our events, or by organising your own. Most of all, we want you to have fun and enjoy your involvement – we prefer to call it ‘funraising’!

Events
We raise money by the generous involvement of musicians and the support of local pubs and venues. To see what we are planning this year, to order your tickets, or if you would like to become involved, take a look at our events page or email the events hotline.

  Sponsorship
You can help us raise money by joining in or creating your own sponsored activity, and very soon you will be able to dress the part in a T-Shirt from our shop.

Companies
If you are a company and you would like to be associated with The Proton Effect, we’d be delighted to talk to you.

Whoever you are and however you choose to become involved, we would love to have your support!
